Bring Nature into Your Life

Bringing a little bit of nature into your home is one of my favorite ways to feel grounded and calm. It doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive—just a few small touches can make a big difference. Here’s what works for me:

  • Add Plants: I’ll be honest, I can grow anything outside, indoor plants I am not so great at, but I keep trying! Even a couple of low-maintenance plants like pothos or snake plants can brighten up a room. Herbs are a perfect way to use a sunny windowsill. They’re great for improving air quality, too! I love the feeling of having something alive and growing in my space—it’s like a little reminder to take care of myself.

  • Use Essential Oils: There’s something so calming about earthy scents like cedarwood or eucalyptus. I’ll pop a few drops into a diffuser or even sprinkle some on a warm washcloth in the shower for an instant spa vibe. Citrus oils are my go-to when I want to feel uplifted.

  • Simmer Pots: Have you tried these? They’re such an easy way to make your home smell amazing. I sell a variety of them on the site, all natural & full of goodness. They are a great way to add some humidity when the air is dry. They're cozy and smell so good—perfect for those cold winter days.

  • Get Outside: Even if it’s freezing, I try to step outside for just a few minutes. There’s nothing like fresh air to reset my mood. Sometimes I’ll take my coffee or tea out with me and just breathe—it feels so grounding, even if I don’t go far. We started walking every day (or night) for just 30 minutes and it's incredible the change it's made for us. I feel like even a drive during the winter can lift my spirits. And, of course, I spend a few minutes morning and afternoon taking care of our farm animals. It's the most peaceful time of my day, even if it's muddy and cold!

Boots stand in slushy, muddy ground with patches of snow. The scene shows a messy, wintry outdoor setting with wet, black boots.

I hope these ideas inspire you to bring a little more nature into your life. It doesn’t have to be perfect—just a few simple things that make you feel good. For me, it’s about creating a space that feels calming, alive, and connected to the world outside. What are your favorite ways to connect with nature at home?

As we wrap up this series, remember that renewal is a journey, not a one-time event. Whether it's through setting intentions, creating calming rituals, or simply connecting with nature, each small step you take helps build a foundation for a more mindful and intentional year ahead. Here's to making 2025 your most vibrant and balanced year yet!
