A bath can be so much more than just a soak in warm water—it can be a sacred self-care ritual to reset your body and mind. But if baths aren’t your thing, showers can be just as therapeutic with a few mindful additions. Here’s how to create a truly relaxing ritual, whether you’re soaking or showering:
What to Add: Transform your bath into a luxurious experience by adding one of our luxurious bath soaks. Even better, subscribe to our bath soak of the month and have one delivered right to your doorstep. They have been thoughtfully created just for you. You can add a beautiful body oil such as coconut oil, jojoba, or even olive oil. For showers, sprinkle a few drops of essential oil on the shower walls or use a shower steamer to infuse the steam with therapeutic scents. You can even create your own eucalyptus shower bundle.
Set the Mood: Create a serene environment by dimming the lights, lighting candles, or even stringing up fairy lights. For showers, turn off harsh bathroom lighting and use natural light or soft candlelight instead. Add calming music or simply enjoy the sound of running water. You know my favorite candles are Amber & Oak, you can find them in our shop. Spotify is a great place to find a relaxing playlist, this is one of my favorite ones to use during spa treatments.
Set an Intention: While you’re soaking or showering, focus on what you want to release and what you want to invite into your life. Visualize the water washing away stress, like tension from a long day or lingering worries, and invite in calm, positivity, and a sense of renewal.
Enhance the Ritual: Bring a cup of herbal tea or infused water to sip while you soak. For showers, consider using a body scrub or loofah to gently exfoliate, symbolizing letting go of the old. Opt for natural scrubs like one made with sugar or salt mixed with coconut oil and a drop of essential oil for a refreshing and hydrating experience. Oatmeal or coffee grounds can also work wonders for exfoliation while staying gentle on the skin. Deep breathing can make the experience even more relaxing.
A ritual bath or shower is more than just self-care—it’s a way to honor yourself and create space for renewal. Whether it’s 10 minutes or an hour, make this time about you.
